Help Us Give More Weimaraners a New Leash on Life

 

Dear Friends of Grey Ghost Weimaraner Rescue,

In August 2022, our family was devastated by the sudden loss of our beloved Weimaraner, Ranger. Just five months later, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Stella, who had been with us for more than 16 years. Losing two family members in such a short span of time left us utterly heartbroken. The silence in our home was unbearable, and I told myself, I’ll never have another dog. EVER. The pain of loss is too hard to bear.

But as Queen Elizabeth, a noted dog lover, famously said, “Grief is the price we pay for love.”

Three years later, love has found its way back to us through Johnny Utah and Grace, rescues from the Grey Ghost Weimaraner Rescue. Johnny Utah arrived as a nine-week-old puppy with his littermates, and Grace came from a family who could no longer care for her. They didn’t just fill the empty space in our home; they healed our hearts and showed us that we can feel love that deeply again.

In truth, they rescued us.

That’s the power of rescue, and it’s why I’m so proud to be part of Grey Ghost Weimaraner Rescue.

🐾 Our Mission🐾

We are a 100% non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping Weimaraners in need, whether that means rescuing, rehabilitation, or helping families keep their dogs during hard times. Our seven-member board and several volunteers donate their time, energy, and love to make sure every dog gets the care, safety, and family they deserve.

We are asking you to be part of our team by considering a donation to the Grey Ghost Weimaraner Rescue. This year, we are launching our first Annual Giving Campaign with a goal to raise $10,000 to support dogs like Johnny Utah and Grace.

Every dollar donated goes directly to the dogs. Your gift will fund programs such as:

  • Medical: Spay/neuter, vaccinations, diagnostics, and surgeries

  • Boarding and Behavioral Training ● Food and Nutritional Support

  • Transportation/Rescue Travel

  • Senior Dog Fund (ages 8+)

  • Young Rascals Fund (puppies)

  • Assistance to help families facing illness, job loss, or other hardships

You can even choose which fund your donation supports, and we’ll keep you updated on how your generosity is used.
